4. On April 27, 1931, the famous Atlantic City boardwalk caught fire and burned down over a three-hour period. Although no one was killed in the fire, it destroyed several hotels and businesses, causing millions of dollars in damage.

5. On April 27, 2011, an EF3 tornado struck parts of southern New Jersey. The storm caused significant damage to homes and businesses, including the historic First Presbyterian Church of Bridgeton. No one was killed in the tornado, but several people were injured.
