3. In 1975, the Ford Motor Company introduced the Mustang II at dealerships across the country. The car was a smaller and lighter version of the original Mustang and was produced until 1978.
4. In 1987, the Michigan State Spartans won the NCAA men's basketball championship by defeating the Indiana Hoosiers 75-64. The Spartans were led by future NBA star Earvin "Magic" Johnson.
5. In 2010, the Detroit Red Wings played their final game at Joe Louis Arena, their home arena for 38 seasons. The Red Wings defeated the New York Rangers 4-3 in a shootout in front of a sold-out crowd. The team moved to the newly-built Little Caesars Arena for the 2017-2018 season.
