4) On April 9, 1981, the Delaware General Assembly approved a bill to establish the Delaware River and Bay Authority, which oversees the Delaware Memorial Bridge and other transportation facilities in the region.

5) In 2018, Delaware Governor John Carney signed a bill into law that allows terminally ill patients to seek medical aid in dying, making Delaware the ninth state in the US to legalize the practice.
