1. On February 25, 1869, Hamilton Square Baptist Church was founded in Mercer County, New Jersey. The church still serves as a place of worship for the local community over 150 years later.

2. In 1913, New Jersey became the first state to make it illegal to operate a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The law was enacted on February 25 of that year, and has since been adopted by all 50 states.

3. On February 25, 1949, boxer Tony Galento was knocked out by Jersey Joe Walcott in a heavyweight championship fight at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
