5. In 2016, a group of armed militants led by Ammon Bundy occupied the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon. Among the occupation's supporters were several Utah politicians and activists, who traveled to the site to show their solidarity with the group. The standoff lasted for 41 days before being peacefully resolved.
