2. The Indiana State Fair has been held in Indianapolis since 1892, and July 15 has been one of the traditional days of the fair. The fair features a wide variety of exhibits, entertainment, and food.

3. On July 15, 1795, the Treaty of Greenville was signed between the United States and several Native American tribes in the Ohio River Valley. The treaty resulted in the cession of land to the United States and helped to end the Northwest Indian War.

4. In 1946, the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame was established in New Castle, Indiana. The Hall of Fame honors the accomplishments of Indiana high school and college basketball players, coaches, and officials.

5. On July 15, 1967, the USS Indianapolis National Memorial was dedicated in Indianapolis. The memorial honors the sailors who lost their lives when the ship was sunk during World War II, and serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by all who have served in the armed forces.
