1) On June 20, 1893, Wyoming became the first state in the United States to grant women the right to vote. This event marked a significant milestone in the fight for women's suffrage and paved the way for other states to follow suit.

The fire eventually grew to over 15,000 acres and forced the evacuation of several campgrounds and cabins in the area. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze after several weeks of intense effort.
