4. In 1911, the first Chevrolet automobile was produced in a factory in Dayton, Ohio. The Chevrolet Motor Company was founded by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant, and the brand is now a division of General Motors.

5. The Wright Brothers, Orville and Wilbur, were born in Dayton, Ohio, on August 19, 1871, and April 16, 1867, respectively. On June 8, 1909, the brothers made history by flying together for the first time at Huffman Prairie, near their hometown of Dayton. Their aviation achievements would go on to revolutionize the world.
