1. In 1877, the New Hampshire College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts was established. The college is now known as the University of New Hampshire and is one of the top public universities in the country.
2. In 1958, the first flight simulator was installed at Manchester Airport in New Hampshire. This simulator allowed pilots to train and gain experience in a safe and controlled environment.
3. In 1912, the first ever town-level primary health care center was established in New Hampshire. This center went on to become a model for other communities across the state and the country.
4. On March 27, 1775, the town of Gilmanton was incorporated. Today, Gilmanton is known for its beautiful scenery and outdoor activities, including hiking and skiing.
5. In 1903, the New Hampshire State House in Concord was destroyed by fire. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the iconic building had to be completely rebuilt. The new State House that stands today is considered an architectural masterpiece and an important part of New Hampshire's history.
