4. On May 29, 1868, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck southern Utah, causing significant damage to buildings and infrastructure in the region. The earthquake was felt as far away as Salt Lake City and Colorado.

5. In 1959, the first episode of "The Rifleman" aired on television, starring Utah-born actor Chuck Connors. Connors grew up in Utah and played basketball for the University of Southern California before pursuing a career in acting.
