2. On November 10, 1932, Michigan voters approved a constitutional amendment to repeal Prohibition in the state. The amendment passed with over 70% of the vote.

3. In 1945, the Great Lakes freighter S.S. William C. Moreland sank in Lake Huron, just north of Presque Isle. All 29 crew members were lost in the disaster.

4. On November 10, 1951, the Michigan Wolverines football team defeated the Wisconsin Badgers by a score of 34-0 at Michigan Stadium. The win was the 20th consecutive victory for the Wolverines, setting a new school record.

5. In 1983, the Mackinac Bridge Authority installed a new system of wind gauges to monitor the conditions on the bridge. The gauges helped engineers better understand the effects of wind on the bridge, which spans the Straits of Mackinac between Lake Michigan and Lake Huron.
