2. November 10 is also celebrated as Martin Harris Day in Kirtland, Ohio, and Salt Lake City, Utah. Harris was one of the three witnesses to the Book of Mormon and played a significant role in the early days of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
3. In 1917, the Liberty Theatre in Ogden, Utah opened its doors. The theater was known for its grand architecture and was a popular destination for movie-goers until it closed in 1977. Today, the building has been restored and is used as a community center.
4. On November 10, 1995, Mia Love became the first Black Republican woman to be elected mayor in Utah. Love went on to become the first Black Republican woman to be elected to Congress in 2014.
5. November 10, 2018, marked the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Utah Jazz Bear mascot. The Jazz Bear has become a beloved figure in Utah sports and has been named the NBA Mascot of the Year four times.
