1. In 1933, construction began on the Buffalo Bill Dam on the Shoshone River near Cody, Wyoming. The massive dam, which took five years to complete, is 325 feet high and 700 feet wide, and was once the tallest dam in the world.

2. In 1898, Wyoming became the first state in the US to grant women the right to vote. The landmark decision paved the way for women's suffrage movements in other states and ultimately led to the passage of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution in 1920.

3. On November 10, 1900, the town of Lander was incorporated in Wyoming. Located in the foothills of the Wind River Range, Lander was a major trading center and transportation hub for the surrounding region, with several railroads passing through the town.

4. In 1963, President John F. Kennedy visited Cheyenne, Wyoming as part of a nationwide tour. Kennedy's visit was largely focused on promoting the country's space program and encouraging young people to pursue careers in science and engineering.

5. On November 10, 1975, a fierce blizzard struck Wyoming, bringing heavy snowfall and sub-zero temperatures to much of the state. The storm caused widespread power outages, transportation disruptions, and damage to crops and livestock, and was later dubbed the "Ranger Dan Blizzard" after a popular radio broadcaster who covered the event.
