1. Delaware made history by ratifying the United States Constitution on November 11, 1787, becoming the first state to do so. This event is celebrated annually as Delaware Day.

4. On November 11, 1955, the Delaware River and Bay Authority was established to develop transportation facilities and promote tourism in the Delaware Valley. The DRBA is responsible for maintaining the Delaware Memorial Bridge, which connects New Jersey and Delaware.

5. In 2014, Delaware celebrated the 60th Anniversary of Veterans Day, which was previously known as Armistice Day. Governor Jack Markell issued a proclamation declaring November 11 as Veterans Day in Delaware, honoring the bravery and sacrifice of all veterans.
