4. Battle of Fort Cumberland: On November 11, 1755, during the French and Indian War, the Battle of Fort Cumberland occurred in western Maryland. The British, led by General Edward Braddock, managed to secure the fort from French and Native American forces, but suffered heavy casualties in the process.

5. Maryland Renaissance Festival: Though not a specifically historical event, the annual Maryland Renaissance Festival typically ends its season on the weekend closest to November 11. Held in Crownsville, the festival celebrates medieval and Renaissance culture and features crafts, performances, and games.
