2. The Great Peshtigo Fire: November 11, 1871, was the day that the Great Peshtigo Fire broke out in northeastern Wisconsin. It remains the deadliest forest fire in U.S. history, with an estimated 1,500 people killed.

3. The sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald: On November 10, 1975, the cargo ship Edmund Fitzgerald sank in Lake Superior during a storm. All 29 crew members were lost. Wisconsin's North Shore communities, including Bayfield and Ashland, provided much of the rescue and recovery effort following the disaster.

4. Frank Lloyd Wright's birth: November 11, 1867, was the birthdate of renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Wright was born in Richland Center, Wisconsin, and went on to design some of the most iconic buildings in the world.
