4. On November 16, 2007, the Museum of Glass in Tacoma opened a new exhibition called "Reflections on Crystal." This exhibition featured works by renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly, who is a Washington native. Chihuly's works are known for their vibrant colors, intricate designs, and larger-than-life scale.

5. In 1949, the University of Washington football team played its final game of the season against the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The game ended in a 14-14 tie, and the Huskies finished the season with a record of 5-3-2. Despite not winning the Pacific Coast Conference that year, the Huskies would go on to win the Rose Bowl the following season, cementing their place in Washington football history.
