2. In 1883, the first train arrived in the town of Everglades City in southwest Florida. The town was once a major hub for the area's fishing and shipping industries.

3. In 2017, a man drove a rented truck into a bike path in Lower Manhattan, killing eight people and injuring 12. The perpetrator, Sayfullo Saipov, had previously lived in Tampa.

4. In 1982, a Lockheed L-1011 Tristar operated by Eastern Air Lines crashed into the Florida Everglades shortly after takeoff from Miami International Airport. All 101 passengers and crew members on board were killed.
