1. On November 29, 1901, the first automobile was sighted in San Francisco, California. The car was owned by William Metzger and he drove through the streets of San Francisco, surprising many residents who had never seen an automobile before.

2. The construction of the first public library in San Diego, California was completed on November 29, 1882. The Carnegie Library was built with a grant from philanthropist Andrew Carnegie and is still in use today as the San Diego Museum of Man.

3. On November 29, 1945, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrested eleven members of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) who had been conducting raids and intimidating African Americans in San Francisco. This was a significant victory against the KKK in California, as it demonstrated that law enforcement would take action against hate groups.
