On November 29, 1935, the Kansas City Monarchs played an exhibition baseball game against a team of All-Stars from the Negro American League to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Negro National League. The game, which was played at Muehlebach Field in Kansas City, was attended by nearly 20,000 fans.
