4. On October 25, 1943, a United States Army Air Forces B-17 bomber crashed near Burnside, Kentucky, killing all 10 crew members on board. The cause of the crash was never determined.
5. In 2014, the University of Kentucky men's basketball team played an exhibition game against the Dominican Republic national team at Rupp Arena in Lexington. The game was notable for featuring former UK star Anthony Davis playing against his former college coach, John Calipari, who was coaching the Dominican team.
