3. Georgia's Fort Stewart became a hub for military deployment after the attacks, as units from throughout the country were mobilized for action. Troops at Fort Stewart were sent overseas to provide support and assistance in the global war on terror that followed the attacks.

4. Many Georgia residents were personally impacted by the 9/11 attacks, including the family of Cristina Green, who was born on September 11, 2001 in Atlanta. Her family later moved to Tucson, Arizona, where she was tragically killed in the 2011 Tucson shooting.

5. In the aftermath of the attacks, Georgia adopted tougher security measures in airports, government buildings, and other high-risk locations. The state also provided additional training and resources to first responders, and many Georgia-based companies played a role in the rebuilding effort in New York City.
