Can you tell us about yourself? 

Hi, this is Yingchao Ma. The school I'm teaching is Northlake Elementary. I am a fifth-grade doing merchant Chinese teacher. My school is located in Tooele, Utah. This is my third year teaching here. 

Why did you start a career in education?

Why did you start a career in education? Because I think teaching is fun and it's very fruitful.

If you could have any other job what would it be and why?

If I could have any other job, I might be an accountant. I like math and I think math is fun. And, I like dealing with the numbers and helping people.

How are kids different now than 30 years ago?

How are kids different now than 30 years ago? I think  nowadays, they can access more information and, so, it might be more difficult to engage them than 30 years ago.

How is teaching different now than 30 years ago?

How is teaching different now than 30 years ago? Again, now we have so many more resources, and like we have technology that we don't have 30 years ago.

What would you tell someone who wants to become a teacher?

What would you tell someone right now that is thinking about becoming a teacher? I would say just do it. It's so rewarding and why not, it's not a bad idea.

What would you change to help kids learn better?

One thing I would change is to use more technology, which is why I am applying for the headphones to buy the Yerbas. And that's all my questions Thank you.
