This teacher should win it because she has a very special heart when it comes to her children she teaches. She is a Special Education teacher and she shows each one that they are important. She has dedicated her whole life into becoming a teacher that can impact a child's life for good. She can always tell how a child is feeling by looking at their face and how they talk to her. Marina has way with special need children that they seem to get comfortable enough to open up. Not very many teachers have the patience or will take the time to help a child like she does. I feel Marina is a really great teacher and she deserves so many nice things for having a very caring heart.

Hi my name is Elise Friese & I am not REALLY nominating MYSELF...I am nominating my students. I am a 1st year teacher at the ripe old age of 50!! Here it is MARCH & I have survived!! I work in an inner city school. Many of my students are Hispanic. Most of my students come to school with very little. I have purchased over 2500 pencils, I recently bought 75 headphones from this amazing company & NEED more BAD. I teach Family & Consumer Sciences, Tween Life & Life Skills to 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th graders. I decided to become a teacher because I have raised my 2 sons & want to make a difference. I am in a very challenging school. It is HARD some days. Yes I have cried. These kids are TOUGH. SO very street smart. It literally is a survival school. I know that in the past 7 months I have made an impact on these kids. Yes I push them to do better than they think they can. I balance that structure with lots of LOVE, compassion, & really try to get to know these students. I have almost 170 daily. We are blessed to have Chromebooks but some of the lessons require headphones. That is why I decided to buy some from this company. I could afford .55. I handed them out this week & like I said I already need more. If I were to WIN the $250...I would turn right around & purchase that amount of headphone for these kids. There is nothing better than being able to GIFT a pencil, headphones, shoes, pants, jackets, etc to these kids. When they realize it is a GIFT...you should see their faces. Many of these students have parents in prison. Many live in areas that there are alot of gang activity. Many do not trust. Many think that fighting is a way to resolve conflict. I am making it my mission to teach them that there is a better way. I tell them my story & tell them to DREAM big. I tell them that it does not matter where you come from, what your family history has been...if you dream big...DREAMS come true. Please help me help these kids by being able to provide more headphones. Thanks so much for your consideration.
