3) On January 10, 1930, the first-ever radio program was broadcasted from KFAB in Lincoln, Nebraska. The program was called "Nebraska Hoosiers", and was a variety show featuring local performers.

4) Nebraska's beloved football coach, Tom Osborne, was born on January 10, 1937. Osborne coached the Cornhuskers for 25 years, leading them to three national championships and 13 conference championships.

5) The first-ever skiing competition in Nebraska was held on January 10, 1947, at Mount Crescent Ski Area in Honey Creek. The competition was organized by the Omaha Ski Club and featured races in both slalom and downhill events.
