1. On November 13, 1829, the first Catholic bishop of Santa Fe, Bishop Jean Baptiste Lamy, was born in France. He worked tirelessly to establish missions and schools throughout the state.
2. In 1933, outlaw Bonnie Parker was arrested in Albuquerque, New Mexico on November 13th. She, along with Clyde Barrow, had committed a string of crimes around the country, and Parker was eventually shot and killed by law enforcement.
3. On November 13, 1953, a military aircraft crashed in the Manzano Mountains near Albuquerque, killing all 13 people on board. The exact cause of the crash remains unknown.
4. Santa Fe Community College was officially opened on November 13, 1983. Since then, it has provided accessible education to thousands of students from the region and beyond.
