3. New Jersey Turnpike Opens: On November 20, 1951, the New Jersey Turnpike opened to traffic. It was the first superhighway in the United States, stretching 118 miles from the Delaware Memorial Bridge to the George Washington Bridge.
4. Oldest Seaside Heights Roller Coaster: On November 20, 1915, the legendary "Star Jet Roller Coaster" was opened to the public in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. It is considered the oldest seaside roller coaster in the United States, and is still in operation today.
5. Thomas Edison: On November 20, 1877, Thomas Edison announced the invention of his latest invention, the phonograph, at a laboratory in Menlo Park, New Jersey. The phonograph revolutionized the recording industry and became one of Edison's most famous inventions.
